Miley Cyrus Settles $300m Lawsuit With Jamaican Dancehall Artist Flourgon  

Miley Cyrus has settled a $300 million copyright infringement lawsuit by a Jamaican songwriter who accused the pop star of stealing her 2013 smash “We Can’t Stop” from a similar song he recorded a quarter century earlier.

Michael May, who performs as Flourgon, sued Cyrus in March 2018, claiming that “We Can’t Stop” closely resembled his 1988 song “We Run Things,” which he called a reggae favorite since reaching No. 1 in his home country.

May accused Cyrus and her label RCA Records, owned by Sony Corp, of misappropriating material including the phrase “We run things. Things no run we,” which she sang as “We run things. Things don’t run we.”

Woman Celebrates Being Cancer Free By Creating Christmas Trees With Black Mannequins 

Last year, Eileen Pearsall from Bear, Delaware, decided to do something a little different with her Christmas tree. Instead of a traditional design, she ordered a black mannequin and built the tree around the doll, in the shape of a dress.

'White Christmas' Turned 65 This Year & There's A Museum Dedicated To The Holiday Classic 

With the holiday season rolling in, it's time to start watching Christmas films and completely immerse yourself in the holiday spirit. A movie that should be at the top of your list because, one, it's a Christmas classic and two, because it's turning 65 this year, is the 1954 film "White Christmas." If it doesn't feel like Christmas yet, his Michael Curtiz musical will surely bring in the festive mood.
 
It's also a good time to watch this film again because the Frazier History Museum has kicked-off its "65 Years of White Christmas" exhibit. The Frazier Museum in partnership with the Rosemary Clooney House will be showcasing authentic items from the film. As reported by WHAS11.
 
This includes the original sleigh used in the film, multiple costumes especially the iconic blue dresses worn by the actors, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen as they sang the song 'Sisters." This exhibition will also feature personal memorabilia from the actors, promotional posters, and the original soundtrack from the film at the museum.
